Fate War Guide

Fate War late-game guide

What separates the strongest accounts on a server: four maxed pairs, a real garrison, Ascension, and spending every resource on the day it scores twice.

Updated 2026-10-15 for game version 1.2.60.

The six pillars

Max four marches, one per troop type

Four fully built pairs beat one super-march. Keep each troop pure where a skill needs it (Odysseus's Armor Piercer) and give new equipment to damage commanders first.

  • Awaken every hero in your four main pairs.
  • Give Sea Conquest and Primordial Deposits equipment to Odysseus and Kalthas first.
  • Only one Beast Rider march can be out at a time; plan around it.

Build a dedicated wall garrison

Garrison heroes need different skills from field heroes. Iris (healing, debuff dispel), Yi Sun-sin (stacking damage reduction) and Rex (shield, attacker ATK -20%) are built for the Wall.

  • Put Iris with Yi Sun-sin or Rex on the Wall.
  • Keep Infirmary capacity above your garrison size.

Use the Hero Stele, Ascension and Warbands

At Chieftain Hall 25 the Hero Stele opens; awakened heroes can be inscribed and Ascended (6 times at Chieftain Hall 30), and Warband skills add percentage bonuses.

  • Awaken core commanders before anything else.
  • Match Warbands to your marches: Blackscale suits debuff-heavy pairs, Wind Sojourners suit Burst-heavy open-field pairs.

Stack events and never spend blind

Call to Arms, Tribal Showdown and The Top Chieftain often score the same action at once. Stamina, Special Callings and speed-ups are worth several times more on the right day.

  • Read every event panel before spending.
  • Bank stamina just below the 1,500 cap.

Rally discipline over raw might

Black Knight Leaders, Champion's Lairs and Tribe Trials are rally content. Rally leaders such as Sara (+12% Rally Limit), Arthur and Amaterasu are built for it.

  • Pick one rally leader per target type.
  • Rallies depart once the troop count is reached, and late joiners can still catch up.

Climb the Tribal Showdown leagues together

Tribal Showdown results depend on every member's daily points, so steady mid-level players matter as much as big accounts.

  • Post the daily theme in tribe chat.
  • Set a minimum daily point target per member.

Your four marches

Axe Throwers

Joan's Saint's Resolve adds 35% to Odysseus's Burst, and Armor Piercer ignores 50% DEF when he leads only Axe Throwers. Model score 100/100.

Cavalry

+35% Cavalry HP from Wukong and +35% Cavalry ATK from Aska, plus clones, Guards and debuff resistance. Model score 95/100.

Berserkers

Reid's +30% Berserker HP and ATK shred keep the troop alive; Kalthas's DEF shred works in any troop type. Model score 91/100.

Beast Riders

Freyja reflects damage and cuts healing; Vista boosts her Burst and shields the opening seconds. Model score 68/100.

Late research path

  1. Troop HP and stat research for your main troop type.
  2. The next troop tier (T6) for that type.
  3. Then the other troop types.

Late research takes weeks: Troop HP III level 8 to 9 took 16 days even at +79.5% research speed. Keep a research speed-up reserve for Call to Arms research themes.

Hero Stele and Warbands

Warband skills add percentage bonuses on top of everything else.

  • Blackscale rewards debuffs: +12% damage to debuffed enemies and +10% damage after inflicting a debuff. That suits Kalthas, Roro and Karl.
  • Wind Sojourners rewards Bursts and open-field fights: +12% damage after Burst and 10% DEF ignore for skill damage. That suits Odysseus and Wukong.
  • Block Value and Strike Power Warband skills arrived in update 1.2.30.

Pick the Warband that matches each march.

Questions players ask

How do I become the strongest player in Fate War?

Max four hero pairs (one per troop type), build a dedicated garrison, push troop tier and HP research, Ascend your core heroes from Chieftain Hall 25, and spend every consumable on the event theme that scores it.

What should I research late game?

Troop HP and the next troop tier for your main troop type first, then the Shrine's next major level. Both need huge amounts of stone and iron.
