Fate War buildings
What each building does, how urgent it is, and the facts behind it. For the order to upgrade them in, read the building strategy guide.
-
Chieftain Hall
Highest priorityCore
Your main building. Its level caps every other building, unlocks troop tiers and features, and sets your Call to Arms bracket.
- Chieftain Hall 25 unlocks the Hero Stele and Codex of Legends; at Chieftain Hall 30 an awakened hero can be Ascended 6 times. In game
- Call to Arms groups you with players at the same Chieftain Hall level. In game
- Chieftain Hall 8 opens Tribal Showdown and Realm Between Realms. Earlier notes
Tip: Bring other buildings to the current cap first; that also clears most Hall requirements.
-
Shrine
Highest priorityResearch
The research building, with Economic, Military and Tribal Showdown trees. Research uses Knowledge, resources and time and gives permanent bonuses, including troop tiers.
- Three research trees: Economic (production, gathering, transport), Military (troops and battle stats) and Tribal Showdown (event bonuses). Earlier notes
- Shrine 30 costs about 121 million each of lumber, stone and iron. In game
- Late research is expensive: Troop HP III level 8 to 9 cost 144M lumber and 14.4M coins and took 16 days at +79.5% research speed. In game
Tip: Keep research running at all times. Save research speed-ups for Call to Arms research themes (4 points per minute).
-
Barracks
Highest priorityMilitary
One barracks per troop type (Berserker, Axe Thrower, Cavalry, Beast Rider), so four training queues run at once.
- Troop tiers run from I upwards; tier V and VI troops were trained on the audited account. In game
- Beast Rider tier V (Raptor Rider V) needs one Legendary Beast Saddle per soldier. In game
- Only one Beast Rider march can be out on the map at a time. In game
Tip: Keep all four barracks busy. Train on Increase Might days of Tribal Showdown.
-
Scholar Circles
High priorityEconomy
Resource nodes that produce Knowledge, which Shrine research consumes.
- Knowledge comes from Scholar Circles; the Fountain of Wisdom is another source. Earlier notes
Tip: Upgrade production and transportation together so Knowledge keeps flowing to storage.
-
Resource nodes
Medium priorityEconomy
Farms, Fisheries and Hunting Grounds (food), Lumber Mills, Quarries (stone) and Mines (iron). Each node has Production, Transportation, Workers and Roads to upgrade.
- Nodes come in small, medium and big sizes and are upgraded individually. Earlier notes
- Keep production slightly above transportation, and give nodes near the Chieftain Hall higher production because they are collected more often. Earlier notes
- The Livestock Ranch is harvested by hand. In game
Tip: Late projects need far more stone and iron than food; gather what you are short of.
-
Builder Commons
High priorityCore
Assigns workers to construction; workers raise construction speed.
- Workers assigned to a construction add a percentage to its speed. Earlier notes
- Two build slots were available on the audited account. In game
Tip: Keep both build slots busy and ask for tribe help on every upgrade.
-
Infirmary
High priorityDefense
Produces Medicine and heals wounded soldiers so they return instead of being lost.
- Iris raises Infirmary Medicine output by 8% and storage by 10%. In game
- Capacity matters most on kill days and in the Tribal Showdown finale. Earlier notes
Tip: Keep capacity above your garrison size. Heal right after fights.
-
Wall and garrison
High priorityDefense
Defends your kingdom. Two heroes are assigned to the Wall as garrison commanders.
- The Wall takes 2 garrison heroes. Earlier notes
- Summons (Wukong's clones, Sylvan's wolves) do not fight in garrisons. In game
Tip: Use garrison specialists: Iris, Yi Sun-sin and Rex.
-
Watchtower
Medium priorityDefense
Warns you about incoming marches. Watchtower tasks score in some Tribal Showdown themes.
- Watchtower was part of the Tribal Showdown theme on 9 Oct 2026. In game
-
Miracle Hut
High priorityHeroes
Where you call heroes, with Regular and Special Calls, and collect Hero Mementoes.
- Free calls are available every day. In game
- Enough Hero Mementoes summon or star up a hero; Starglitter pays for calls. Earlier notes
Tip: Save Special Callings for a Call to Arms Upgrade Hero theme (1,500 points each).
-
Hero Stele and Codex of Legends
High priorityHeroes
Unlocked at Chieftain Hall 25. Awakened heroes can be inscribed and Ascended, and Warband skills live here.
- Up to 6 Ascensions at Chieftain Hall 30. In game
- Update 1.2.30 added Block Value and Strike Power Warband skills to the Hero Stele. Patch notes
Tip: Awaken your core commanders first so they can be Ascended.
-
Residences
Medium priorityEconomy
House the villagers who work your nodes and buildings.
- Community guides say Residence level also affects training batch size. Community
Tip: Upgrade alongside your nodes so you have workers to staff them.
-
Witch Huts
Low priorityTerritory
Found in fogged territories; they give large one-time resource boosts.
- Your kingdom has 33 fog-covered territories that hold resources, Witch Huts, chests, peasants and soldiers. Earlier notes
Tip: Clear territories early for the free resources.
Building level tables

What a level-30 upgrade costs
Upgrading the Bathhouse from level 29 to 30 cost 54.0M Lumber, 54.0M Stone and 54.0M Iron plus 1 special upgrade item, and took 7d 20h with +107% construction speed. It adds +733,300 Might. Late upgrades take days, so plan speed-ups with the speed-up calculator and time them for The Top Chieftain construction phase.
Costs for other buildings and levels: needs in-game verification. We add them as we read them.
